The pandemic has triggered a literal e-commerce boom. But did you know that the direct-to-consumer sales and cross-border commerce in particular have grown disproportionately, mainly due to the target group of millennials.
Millennials as well as Gen Z are not only boosting D2C but are also the frontrunners in making cross-border purchases, making three times as many as Baby Boomers. A recent study shows that: 46 % of shoppers worldwide are purchasing direct from brands online, among 25-34 year olds, the figure is as high as 52 per cent.
